From first enquiry to agreed work.

Start with the service you need and a brief outline of your business. Financial documents can wait until the work and a private way to share them have been agreed.

01 · Send an enquiry

Say which service you’re considering and what you’d like help with. Keep it brief; leave out bank details, tax identifiers and employee information.

02 · Define the work

Discuss the records, software and reporting period, then define who prepares, checks and approves each part.

03 · Review the proposal

Check the services, fee, timing, responsibilities and exclusions in writing. Ask about anything that is unclear before agreeing to the work.

04 · Arrange a private handoff

Once the engagement is agreed, arrange a suitable private channel or delegated access for the records. Never send passwords or financial documents through the public enquiry form.

Questions before you begin.

Who is this example practice for?

This example covers monthly bookkeeping, payroll handoffs and report reviews for owner-run service businesses. A scope discussion confirms the records, systems and responsibilities involved before any work is agreed.

How is a fee confirmed?

Example prices are starting points for the demo, not binding quotes. A real proposal should confirm the accounts, transaction volume, reporting period, responsibilities and any extra work before engagement.

What happens after an enquiry?

An enquiry begins a scope discussion. It does not book a meeting or create an engagement. Work starts only after the real practice has agreed the service, terms and appropriate private handoff.

Should I send financial documents now?

No. Do not send statements, tax identifiers, account details, employee information or passwords through this public form. The practice should arrange its own suitable private document channel after engagement.

Do I need to change accounting software?

Start with the accounting system you already use. Discuss access, records and any proposed change during the scope conversation. A software migration would need its own written scope.

Does this include tax filing or regulated advice?

The demo does not offer tax filing, assurance, an audit or regulated advice. The practice owner must publish only services they are qualified and authorised to provide.

THE HOUR
